In search for life's meaning, it is revealing when life itself stares back at oneself, imploring one to help her discover herself and to give her meaning...

Because we do not know what to do with ourselves, we rely on another to provide that direction by them creating a stimuli in the form of a contact, communication, situation, invitation etc to which then we can then respond or attend to and not have to face the emptiness of our lives anymore. This dependence creates resentment in the form of blame, anger, and frustration, when such stimulus does not arise as per our expectations. Thus withers away the quality of our relationships and the joy from our life.
To have a good relationship with another it is paramount to be at ease with our own selves first. Secondly, it is important that we be friendly towards all without dwelling too much of friendships themselves, which become laden with expectations over time, which kills joy.
